The pad driver is the disc that clamps your pad in place and spins it against the floor. Simple job — but the pad only cleans as evenly as the driver holds it flat. A worn or cracked driver lets the pad tilt, and once it tilts, it's polishing one side and skipping the other, and you're wondering why the floor looks patchy.

This is the genuine Nilfisk Advance OEM Pad Holder - DRYFT, part number 58002028, brand new in the box. The center hub takes the wear, the grippers hold the pad, and the plastic disc has to stay flat through a lot of hours and a lot of soil. When it fails, it usually goes gradually — the pad wanders a little, then a lot, then it flies off in aisle six.
