The Advance Terra 5200B Rider Floor Sweeper is a variable dump sweeper with a 52 inch total cleaning path. Quiet and clean battery operation allows this floor sweeping machine to be used where fumes and noise would prohibit combustion engine use. The batteries will operate the sweeper for up to 4 hours. Many warehouses may be swept in this amount of time. A 4.6 foot cubic hopper will hold up to 242 pounds and dump into a 55 inch tall container. The top loaded hopper holds plenty of pallet chips, paper, and dust. A 75 square foot paper panel filter is relatively big for a machine of this size. A felt filter is also available.

The "over throw" sweeper design is excellent for warehouse applications where light debris such as pallet chips, paper tags, and plastic "peanuts" are prevalent. The Terra 5200B has a litter flap design that lifts off of the floor when the operator steps on a pedal in the operator compartment. This allows access to the broom chamber for larger items and light debris.

Light debris can often be trapped in front of the hopper flaps on the "forward throw" design seen on the Advance 4600. It is common for the operator to try to find rough spots on the floor to create enough friction to get this debris into the broom chamber. Counter balancing this is the forward throw design's ability to "shoot" heavy sand and rocks straight, (and effectively), into the hopper rather than over the top of the main broom.
